This 1986 Island Packet 38 is ready for a new home and new adventures. Fresh water boat that has been well cared for with many upgrades and improvements. The IP 38 features the well proven and highly acclaimed Island Packet design concept that combines a modern full keel hull with handsome traditional styling, a versatile, easily managed rig, and an unusually spacious and livable interior. The full keel design, unique to the Island Packet line, combines a contemporary performance hull form with a foil shaped full keel. This provides the benefits of spirited, powerful performance comparable to deeper fin keel designs with the added advantages of "hands-off" tracking with superior seakeeping and safety. And the moderate draft full keel gives the full capability for blue water passages as well as exploring shallow coastal waters.

This 1985 Vindo 34 has combined the strength and longevity of a fiberglass hull, cockpit and partial deck with the beauty of a magnificently crafted varnished mahogany house and teak housetops and teak decks, to create one of the prettiest yachts in the world today. Vindo started building yachts in 1928 on the island of Orust on the west coast of Sweden, an island where boats have been built since the 11th century. Since 1928 there have been close to three thousand Vindos built of all shapes and sizes. The quality of boat building that went on in this yard would be very hard to find anywhere at any price. The forefoot on the long keel has been cut back to reduce the wetted surface and to increase her ability to maneuver in close quarters. The rudder is fuller for quicker response, the entry is moderate and the buttocks rather full for good power. The waterline is long with modest over-hang, and the shear is gentle with a little spring. On the deck the Vindo stands out, not just because of the beauty of the house but also because of the spaciousness and comfort of the cockpit. The cockpit coamings are high for comfort and security, and are well rounded in the aft corners for the helmsman to snuggle into. The footwells are narrow enough to brace yourself with your feet on any angle of heel. The side decks are of modest width but certainly sufficient and safe, with 3" bulwarks with teak cap rails to keep your feet on deck. This amazing 34 footer which, in spite of its graceful lines, has a little private cabin aft, a V-berth forward, a spacious head, a truly regal-sized dinette with another settee across the way, and a chart table of dimensions seldom found even on larger boats. The U-shaped galley is located to starboard as you come down through the elegant companionway. It features a stainless steel sink, dry storage bin, 2-burner gimballed stove with oven, ice box, and ample storage. The woodwork throughout the boat is like fine furniture. Between the craftsmanship, fit and finish, and blue-water performance, it's easy to see why this boat is listed as one of The World's Best Sailboats. "Sarsen" is a one-owner, fresh water boat that has spent her entire life on Lake Michigan. Primarily used for day boating and light cruising. She has always been winter stored indoors and professionally maintained.
