Ladies at the Helm: Navigation

Ladies at the Helm is a series designed to introduce, educate, and empower women in the boating world! Started at Irish Boat Shop in Traverse City, Michigan, Ladies at the Helm offers monthly social and educational get togethers created by women for women.

Ladies at the Helm now meets every third Thursday of the month at Irish Boat Shop alternating in Harbor Springs, Charlevoix, and Traverse City. Each evening kicks off at 5:30pm with a hands on knot tying lesson (practice makes perfect!). The 20-30 minute Chalk Talk starts at 5:45pm and wraps up with plenty of time for socializing or more discussion about the topic. We’ll send you home with materials and resources if you’d like to dive deeper. This is a casual and comfortable setting to encourage learning and friendship where all skill levels are welcome.
