Ladies at the Helm
Ladies at the Helm is a series designed to introduce, educate, and empower women in the boating world! Started at Irish Boat Shop in Traverse City, Michigan, Ladies at the Helm is a monthly social and educational get together created by women for women.
We are taking this show on the road!
Ladies at the Helm now meets every third Thursday of the month at Irish Boat Shop alternating in Harbor Springs, Charlevoix, and Traverse City. Each evening kicks off at 5:30 with learning to tie a new type of knot. The 20-30 minute Chalk Talk starts at 5:45 and wraps up with plenty of time for socializing. We’ll send you home with materials and resources if you’d like to dive deeper into the topic. This is a casual and comfortable setting to encourage learning and friendship where all skill levels are welcome.
Fall 2020 Season Update:
To our teachers, students, and friends at the helm,
Irish Boat Shop has made the decision to postpone our Ladies at the Helm series until 2021. The health and safety of our employees and friends continues to be our first priority. Many thanks to those who have contributed in the past, and who continue to support our work. We look forward to seeing you all back at the helm in 2021.
